Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have a shop minimum? How does your pricing work?

We do have a shop minimum of $80, for larger scale tattoos we operate at $160 an hour. In certain instances, the artist will charge by the piece. We can go over all pricing for your project when we consult/discuss the scope of it in depth.

What payment methods do you accept? Are you cash only?

We are set up to take cash or card, tipping the artists in cash is always greatly appreciated, but not required.

How old do I have to be to get a tattoo?

In the state of Texas you must be 18 years old to get tattooed. There is no parental consent law for tattoos in Texas.

How can I ensure I have a great tattoo session?

There are a few ways to ensure the tattoo process is easier on your body. Get a good nights rest the day before, eat a good meal before your session, and drink plenty of water before and during the session. A hangover will affect your body’s resiliency and ultimately make the session less smooth for you.

How do I take care of my new tattoo?

Don’t pick at it, use an unscented lotion 2-4 times a day with clean hands until it is healed (2-4 weeks), use hot soapy water when you shower, Dial Gold or anything anti-bacterial (unscented also) and pat it try with a clean towel afterwards. Do this for 2-4 weeks until it is healed.

Do you do realism or water color tattoos at your shop?

None of the artists at Inkfluence do the realism or water color styles for a few reasons. Realism/water color tattoos tend to have no outline/line work. The outline’s purpose is to keep the tattoo held in place, without it the ink can migrate onto your skin and get blurry or blotchy. The outline will overall help the tattoo stand the test of time, which is something we want for every tattoo that walks out the door.

Can I see the design before my session?

Showing drawings to all of our clients weeks to even days before just isn't realistic, as often times the artist will draw up your tattoo the day before or morning of. All drawings are shown the day of the appointment. We ensure to allot enough time in each appointment to go over the design and can accommodate tweaks or changes. We won't start tattooing until you're stoked with the design.

Can I bring my kid into the shop?

Tattoo shops aren’t suitable for children for a multitude of reasons, just don’t bring them. Please respect this policy.

Do you offer piercings?

We don’t offer any piercings or jewelry services, tattoos only.
